Introducing Emelero — pay-per-call AML/CFT infrastructure
An anti-money-laundering intelligence layer that integrates into your stack within hours. REST API for automation, conversational AI agent for your analysts.
By Tom Zielinger
Today we are launching Emelero, an intelligence infrastructure dedicated to AML/CFT compliance. Not another tool to deploy, but an analytical layer that plugs into your existing stack — accessible through a REST API or a conversational AI agent.
What we observed
For innovative players — fintechs, PSPs, EMIs, CASPs — and for smaller entities — jewellers, gold dealers, real-estate agents, legal professions — the AML/CFT compliance burden today is disproportionate to the volumes they actually handle.
Existing tools were built for very large banks. Too complex, too expensive, ill-suited to the diversity of regulated profiles. The outcome: either you hire a full-time MLRO (out of reach for a five-person company), or you pay €350 an hour to an external advisor for every routine question.
What Emelero brings
Emelero is an analytical intelligence platform, not a client repository. You send us a profile, a transaction, a document. We return a structured, sourced, audit-ready analysis report. Your MLRO validates, adjusts, signs.
Seven core capabilities are available at launch:
- 30-second KYC/KYB onboarding — profile coherence, sanctions screening, customer risk rating, reasoned recommendation.
- Sanctions and adverse media — US OFAC, EU Consolidated List, UN, PEP, plus open-source intelligence search for sensitive profiles.
- Industrial-grade EDD reviews — document reading, semantic analysis, risk and mitigant qualification.
- Real-time transaction monitoring — score, scenarios triggered, comparison to the client's behavioural profile.
- Pre-drafted suspicious-activity reports (STR/SAR) — articulated rationale, reconstructed factual basis, FIU format respected.
- Sourced regulatory answers — AMLR, AMLAR, ACPR guidelines, supervisory authority case law indexed via RAG.
- Activity report — periodic summary of your AML/CFT indicators.
Two modes of use
For your existing systems: a documented REST API, Bearer authentication, JSON in and out. No client data stored on our side — you send the profile, you receive the analysis. The result is logged for audit, the sensitive content is not.
For your analysts: a conversational AI agent. Same capabilities as the API, accessible through a sober chat. Multi-user, roles and permissions, cited sources on every reply.
Pay-per-call, no subscription
You only pay for analyses actually consumed. No minimum commitment, no platform fee. Failed calls are not billed. Public rate card:
- Regulatory question: €0.10 per call
- Sanctions and PEP screening: €0.15 per call
- KYC/KYB coherence: €0.30 per call
- Adverse media screening: €0.80 per call
- STR/SAR drafting assistance: €1.20 per call
- Full EDD review: €3.00 per case
For the AI agent, a single seat at €290 per user per month, including a monthly call quota.
Conviction
Compliance and business are not at odds. That conviction, combined with the current maturity of AI, is what makes a product like Emelero possible today — when it was unthinkable just two years ago.
For an institution typical of 50 EDD reviews, 2,000 monitoring alerts and 30 SAR filings per month, Emelero functionally replaces six full-time financial-crime analysts. Annual cost compared: €165,000 versus €900,000. €735,000 saved, an 82 % reduction in the cost of the AML/CFT programme — without degrading analytical quality, and without giving up human decision-making at the end of the chain.
What's next
The current regulatory corpus covers AMLR, AMLAR, ACPR-Tracfin guidelines and the case law of the French Sanctions Commission in full. MiCA, DoRA and MiFID II will join the RAG in the coming weeks, followed by US frameworks (BSA, FinCEN), UK (MLR 2017, FCA) and Asian regimes (MAS Singapore, AUSTRAC Australia).
To try Emelero right now, talk to the AI agent in open access from the homepage, or create an API key to integrate an endpoint into your stack in hours.
Our goal: that compliance ceases to be a cost centre and becomes an operational asset.
